The "MPS00101" is a high-speed, high-sensitivity light-receiving IC developed for photoelectric switches. The light emission pulse width is equivalent to 0.5μsec at 1MHz, which is a short pulse that is 1/5 of that of typical photoelectric switches, while maintaining the detection distance of standard photoelectric switches. If the detection distance is within the range of typical photoelectric switches, power consumption can be halved. The user has been dedicating a lot of effort to adjusting and inspecting the environment to ensure that it does not affect the characteristics of the rotary encoder, and they needed a light-receiving IC for rotary encoders that is less susceptible to environmental influences. Our IC can minimize the impact of the surrounding environment. To facilitate a smooth replacement with our IC, we proposed an IC that has the same electrical and optical characteristics as other companies' ICs, while also matching the external dimensions and foot patterns. As a result, by reducing the impact of the surrounding environment on the characteristics, we were able to decrease the effort required for adjustments and inspections, achieving cost reductions for the user.
